new project: 'Live at Cairo' cassette series
tonight I will be recording a show at Cairo—an indie shop/venue specializing in locally crafted clothing, accessories, and housewares in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill (Seattle, WA). this will be the first of many shows I will be recording. it's kind of a 'ginnie-pig' show for the entire project, just to see how it goes and how the final product looks. i'm excited to get this ball rolling, i'll let you know how it all turns out! -pelly

Welcome to the new mykepelly.com. I will be adding new sections for various projects I've been working on over the last 6 months. The 'Zines' section contains information about my first zine release 'Book of Blimps: Volume One' and also 'Twin Hustle'. I will be adding a new section called 'Bands' which will have information on some of my new music projects. Stay tunes for more.

Twin Hustle update...
I have just completed the first draft Twin Hustle zine. The booklet is 10 front pages, classic black & white on glossy mando paper. Once I approve the test version and make some final changes, the zine should be ready for pre-order.

Book of Blimps: Volume One | Available in April
22 page art-zine, 6x8 inches with classic black and white cover art. The interior pages all contain a venetian red background color on glossy mando paper. Blimp is a series of artwork involving the conceptual use of comic strip talk-bubbles.

Art for sale: "Big Life, Small World" | Available Now
Prisma/acrylic painting on 14x14 thin panel bord. I usually like to mix-up mediums for my art projects. This piece contains a lot of prisma color pencil work, but also incorporates the use of acrylic paint and oil. It's a strange combination, but they actually fit together quite well.

HIE. So for the past month or so I’ve been working on a new art project called Blimp. It’s a collection of small drawings I've done that will be released in a zine-like format. Two volumes of the zine will be released and hopefully available by the end of June. I would really love to bring it to the 2009 Portland Zine Symposium, that would be awesome. This has been a really exciting project to work on and I’m stoked to see where it goes from here. I’ve always wanted to do something like this but never really had the chance. Living in such a positive atmosphere has been amazing and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. -Pelly

i'm stoked for the emerald city comicon. darth maul is going to be there! that guy has helped me out through so many hard times. theres no way i could have got that monopoly on coruscant, or landed on free parking multiple times if it wasnt for mr. maul. we are evil.
visual long play
so for the past two months ive been working on a VLP project for the moonlit behavior ep. so far so good, just taking a lot longer than expected. i wish it didn’t cost so much money to get a patent, or a copyright for that matter.
mp productions is coming along slowly but surely. if you haven’t seen the latest visual single i made, just click the picture to the right. the "dolphins" video is still not completed because it's really important i finish the skyscraper vlp. it's gonna be my money maker!
ive been helping out michael with his antcartic records website. it's coming along nicely, just a few more kinks to work out then it will be online. building websites again has been quite a trip and it's all coming back to me so quickly. maybe i'll pick up fruitbooting again, i'm sure that will come back to me haha.
